The LABRADOR is a hunting dog. Agility, robustness, exceptional flair and especially his love for water make it the hunter's most appreciated retriever. 

In town, human presence, walks and free exercise in a park or other open spaces are needed for its balance. Because of its sensitive and affectionate temperament, the LABRADOR is a trusted companion for young children.

Since LABRADOR tends to be dependent on the love lavished on him by his masters, it seems natural that the place of the dog is with them in the house or the apartment. He will quickly get bored, be miserable and will have a hard time to understand his isolation when relegated to an outdoor enclosure.
